China Arts and Entertainment Group Ltd. (CAEG) is founded in April 2004, and its two major subsidiaries China Performing Arts Agency (CPAA) and China International Exhibition Agency (CIEA) were established in 1957 and 1950 respectively.
As China’s sole central state-owned cultural enterprise that has performance and exhibition business worldwide, CAEG has developed a nationwide market network of international performing arts, art exhibitions, cultural tourism and theater operation, and set up branches in major cities in China as well as some European and American countries. It has initially established an integrative operating system under the guidance of “Making a solid layout in China and Going Global” and has been expanding its presence at home and abroad. CAEG was elected one of the “Top 30 China Cultural Enterprises” for eight consecutive years since 2009.
As the largest importer of international performances and exhibitions in China and the world’s largest exporter of Chinese performances and exhibitions, CAEG stages on average over 4,000 different kinds of performances, exhibitions and other cultural activities in over 200 cities in dozens of countries and regions, attracting over 10 million attendees every year.
Based on 14 theaters directly owned and managed by the CPAA Theaters, CAEG has initiated and organized a league of 70 allied theaters with CPAA Theatres across 27 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in China, and the “Silk Road International League of Theatres” (SRILT) for countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative. Founded in October 2016, the SRILT has now grown into an alliance of 107 large theaters and culture & art institutions around the world, 69 of which are from overseas. They serve as a platform for international cultural exchange and cooperation.
Equipped with international perspective and professional teams, CAEG plays a pivotal role in planning and delivering large-scale art festivals and State-level cultural events. Throughout the year, CAEG hosts or co-hosts many large festive events and major brand performances and exhibitions, including the ‘Meet in Beijing’ Arts
Festival, the China International Chorus Festival, the China International Youth Festival, the ‘Image China’ performance series, the “Dances in China” brand projects, ‘Happy Chinese New Year’ festival, the Venice Biennale- China Pavilion, the Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo, the China Art Industry Expo, the Culture Exhibition Area in the China International Import Expo, and the 6th Theatre Olympics.

中国对外文化集团(CAEG)组建于2004年4月,是经国务院批准,由成立于1957年的中国对外演出公司和成立于1950的中国对外艺术展览中心转企改制组建而成。集团作为第一批大型文化央企,由国务院作为出资人,文化和旅游部、财政部分别作为行政主管部门及经营性国有资产监管部门。在近70年的发展历程中,集团始终都是中国对外文化交流与贸易的国家队、主力军。2018年12月,集团完成“公司制改制”,由全民所有制企业改制为国有独资公司,名称变更为:中国对外文化集团有限公司。
近年来,集团先后被国家授予“北京奥运会残奥会先进集体”、“全国文化体制改革先进单位”、“国家文化产品出口示范基地”、“国家文化产业示范基地”、“国家重点文化出口企业”等荣誉称号。2009年起,曾连续八次入选“全国文化企业30强”。
集团作为拥有全球演出展览业务的文化央企,立足全球视野,打品牌、拓渠道,经过多年发展,形成国际演艺、艺术会展、文化旅游和演出院线运营四大业务板块,依托中国对外演出有限公司、中国对外艺术展览有限公司、中国文化国际旅行社有限公司、中演演出院线发展有限责任公司四大核心子公司进行管理运营。
国事演展 使命重大
国事演出与展览,是国家赋予集团的重要使命。2013年以来,集团共成功策划承办了重大国事演展活动70余起,习近平主席亲自出席40余次,90多个国家的首脑和重要贵宾出席。其中包括俄罗斯中国旅游年开幕式演出《美丽中国》(2013)、援助缅甸第27届东南亚运动会开闭幕式演出技术支持项目(2013)、北京APEC峰会欢迎文艺演出(2014)、中非合作论坛暨南非中国年闭幕式演出《中非时刻》(2015)、埃及卢克索神庙中国文化年开幕演出《两个伟大文明对话》(2016)、中拉友好文化交流年(2016)、金砖国家文化节(2017)、中非合作论坛北京峰会欢迎晚宴文艺演出(2018)、中国国际进口博览会文化展区(2018)等。
走出国门 打造品牌
集团在推动中国文化产品走出去方面,发挥着文化央企的引领示范作用。平均每年在境外数十个国家和地区、200余座城市举办和组织各类演出、展览与综合文化活动近4000 场,全球年度观众总量超过1000 万人次。成功打造了“中华风韵”、“舞动中国”、“欢乐春节”系列活动、威尼斯双年展中国国家馆等优秀演展品牌,以及中国国家交响乐团、上海歌剧院交响乐团赴美,上海芭蕾舞团赴欧等知名艺术院团的多场次大型海外商业巡演等。集团在全国及欧美设有分支机构,国际影响力不断扩大。
大型活动 搭建平台
集团积极致力于双边与多边文化交流平台的构建。举办和参与举办了历届“相约北京”艺术节、中国国际合唱节、中国国际青年艺术周、丝绸之路(敦煌)国际文化博览会、中国艺术品产业博览会、港澳视觉艺术双年展、“意会中国”系列画展,以及第六届戏剧奥林匹克等,累计吸引全球数以万计的优秀艺术家参与,在策划组织大型节庆和重要演展活动方面积累下丰富的经验。
内容制作 坚持创新
集团坚持内容创新。通过跨地域、跨国界的合作方式,与国内外艺术家和艺术机构联合制作出品了同时面向国内国外两个市场的《时空之旅》《武林时空》《因为爱》等多部多媒体综艺舞台剧、大型原创歌剧《马可·波罗》以及世界经典音乐剧《妈妈咪呀!》《猫》的中文版等具有广泛影响力和国际一流制作水平的品牌演出产品。
文旅融合 院线开疆
在文化旅游领域,集团旗下中国文化国际旅行社积极拓展具有文化特色的出入境旅游产品开发、文化会展论坛、艺术教育培训、大型艺术节庆策划运营等业务,在文旅融合的新形势下,呈现出新的发展潜力和空间。集团旗下“中演院线”作为中国演出院线运营领域的开拓者,建立了覆盖全国的中演演出院线联盟(27个省、区、市70家成员单位)和面向世界的“丝绸之路国际剧院联盟”(38个国家和地区、2个国际组织的107家成员单位)。中演院线南有广州大剧院,北有北京天桥艺术中心,东有上海大宁剧院、山东省会大剧院,西有甘肃、青海大剧院,受权运营的14家直营剧院总资产已超过100亿元。
